How do Security Experts Secure their Home PCs and Networks?
Erika Morphy over at TechNewsWorld ran published an interesting article yesterday titled "Security Experts at Home: No Downtime," which offers some tips and techniques for securing personal computers at home from professionals who work in the IT security industry.
There's a broad range of suggestions here ranging from a professional who has actually "ditched" his personal email accounts due to security concerns, to folks who use Macs rather than Windows-based machines, to others (like myself) who are more inclined to rely on various packaged desktop security solutions. As the article quotes me, I personally prefer F-Secure Internet Security because of its fast response times to new threats, low resource footprint and easy configurability.
Anyway, I thought this was a rather clever idea for an article and the diversity of responses is pretty interesting!
