Video: Andres Kohn on Proofpoint ARCHIVE - SaaS Email Archiving

To support Proofpoint's announcement about the next generation of the company's Proofpoint on Demand SaaS solutions for email security and compliance, Andres Kohn was kind enough to give me a short "chalk talk" about Proofpoint ARCHIVE.

This is a terrific overview of what makes Proofpoint's email archiving solution unique. And if you haven't thought much about the various issues involved in successfully archiving enterprise email, I think you'll find this video thought provoking.

Things I thought were most interesting: Andres explains why Proofpoint's guaranteed search query time SLA is so important, how Proofpoint ARCHIVE guarantees data integrity and security using DoubleBlind Encryption and the various reasons why storing historical email in the cloud is beneficial.

Fun facts about Andres: He's Proofpoint employee #1 and both the smartest and nicest guy you could ever hope to meet. If you're at RSA today, you might catch him in the Proofpoint booth.
